Sant Andreu de la Barca

Sant Andreu de la Barca is a municipality where, within its dynamic, emerging city, you can find small spaces and corners of great tourist and architectural value. The 18th-century church bell tower is the city's most emblematic monument, but you can also enjoy the modernist style of the Casa Pedemonte and Casa Estrada, the charm of some of the doorways and streets of the old town, and the Can Preses farmhouse.

The modern parks located in all the city's neighborhoods and the Can Salvi nature and sports area are good examples of a city rich and varied in color and interesting places to visit.

The Sant Andreu de la Barca festivities take place over four days at the end of summer, either on the last weekend of August or the first weekend of September, from Monday to Friday. On the latter day, in the afternoon, the opening speech of the festival takes place from the balcony of the Town Hall, kicking off the festivities, followed by a firecracker display. The main attractions of this town's festivals are the gathering of giants and the correfocs (fire runs) through the streets of the historic center, as well as a variety of entertainment, cuisine, culture, music, and traditions in the town's streets.
