Sant Andreu de la Barca

Within its dynamic of an emerging town, Sant Andreu de la Barca offers its visitors many spots and corners of great architectural and tourist interest. The 18th century church bell tower is the town’s best known monument, but there are also good examples of Modernism such as Casa Pedemonte, some façades and streets of the town centre and the Can Preses masia. The modern parks located in all of the town’s neighbourhoods and the nature and sports space of Can Salvi are good examples of a town rich in colours and attractions.

As for the festivals of Sant Andreu de la Barca, they take place for 4 days, at the end of summer, either on the last weekend of August or the first of September, from Monday to Friday. On this last day in the afternoon, the proclamation of the festival takes place from the balcony of the Town Hall, which starts the festivities, followed by a thunderclap. The main attractions of the festivities in this municipality are the meeting of giants and the correfocs through the streets of the historic center, in addition to a recreational, gastronomic, cultural, musical and traditional offer in the streets of the town.
