The Xavier Corberó Space
The Xavier Corberó complex is a sculptural and architectural complex of great heritage value. Discover the universe of columns, arches, and mirrors created by the sculptor Xavier Corberó in the heart of Esplugues' historic center.
Also known as Espai Corberó, the Casa dels Cecs is essentially composed of a lateral section, built on the ground floor perpendicular to Iglesia Street and spanning the entire length of the property, several courtyards, water basins, and a second building. The total constructed area is 1,995 m2 on a 2,055 m2 plot with several buildings and courtyards.
In the basement, with level access from the Baix Lloc passage, there is an auditorium with a capacity of 250-300 people. This space, approximately 700 m2 in area, has an open floor plan, a lowered concrete vault ceiling, without any supporting columns, and is of great architectural interest due to the uniqueness of its structure and composition.
Inside the plot, between two courtyards, stands another building, with no specific use, formed from reinforced concrete slabs and semicircular arches and stairs, also made of reinforced concrete, forming a series of rooms and open or semi-enclosed terraces and with varying heights, up to ground floor and three floors, some of them with pane and some others completely open to the landscape.

Observations
Attention:
Visit service temporarily suspended.
The Ministry of Culture of the State Government acquired Casa Gomis in January 2025, with the aim of preserving it, converting it into a cultural centre that reflects on the relationships between human societies and nature, and making a heritage that has become public with this purchase more accessible to citizens.
Once the acquisition by the State has been carried out, the Ministry of Culture, the Generalitat de Catalunya and the El Prat City Council will now define the management model for this space and its visiting regime.
