The beach is a unique space for leisure, environmental education and physical activity in the metropolitan area of ​​Barcelona. It has a length of 5.5 km that extends from the mouth of the Llobregat river to the Remolar lake. Bordered by the Can Camins pine forest, and the areas of Remolar and Roberta, which are completely included within Xarxa Natura 2000.

Much of our coastline is protected, specifically the beaches of Remolar, Roberta and Ricarda - Ca l'Arana, due to its high natural value

Citizens can enjoy our coastline which, during the summer season, from May to September, has its corresponding services and equipment: lifeguards, taverns, the Municipal Sailing Center, Police, etc. All this, with the regulation of a series of uses to guarantee coexistence on the beach and at the same time ensure that all citizens can enjoy it.

The City Council, as every year, has enabled the website https://www.elprat.cat/la-platja where you can find all the service information to make the most of El Prat beach. There you will find the schedules of all the services, how to get to the beach, or how to get around, among others. On this website, you will also find updated information about the public transport available to get to the beach, as well as the degree of occupancy of the car park, or about the state of the sea, among others.
